Period tracker apps for couples: what your partner sees in each one

A period tracker app for couples lets her track her cycle on her phone while her partner sees part of it on his. Flo, Clue, Natural Cycles, Stardust and Cycles all have some way to share. They differ on what he sees, whether he has to pay and whether he needs his own account.

I'm Geethika and I make Soleii, one of the apps below, so weigh my read with that in mind. I took what each other app shares from its own help pages and store listings on 3 October 2026. I didn't use those apps for this. The draft was written with AI, and every claim was checked against the pages listed at the bottom.

If you want him to see your cycle without your logs, Clue or Flo already do that, and his side is free on both. If the reason you're sharing is so he knows what to do on a hard day, pick an app built around his side of it. That's why I built Soleii, and it's Android only for now.

What each app shows your partner

Flo, Clue, Cycles and Soleii keep her private notes away from him, and Natural Cycles lets her choose to share some. They split on how much of the cycle he gets and how he's told about it.

AppWhat he seesDoes he pay?Accounts
Flo (Flo for Partners)Cycle predictions and tips during big phases. No symptoms she logs. Flo's help pages disagree on the calendar, see below.Basic access is free for both of youHe downloads Flo and enters her pairing code

Natural Cycles (Partner View)Red and Green Days, ovulation, predictions, temperatures, period and spotting. She can add moods, pain and notes. Not stated on its help pagesShe invites him by email, more than one person is allowed
Stardust (Partner Mode)Lets him "follow along". The FAQ doesn't list exactly what. Not statedShe sends a text invite from the app
CyclesHer cycle info. Her reminders and notes stay private. The App Store listing ties partner sharing to its in-app purchasesNot stated on its listing. iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch
SoleiiHer phase, how many days until her period, a short list of what helps this phase, and Sunflare alerts. Never her logs.No. One plan covers both of youAndroid, he links with her invite code

Prices are left out on purpose. Flo, Clue and Natural Cycles don't print a figure on their own pages, and Clue says its price changes by region. Check the subscription screen in each app before you pay.

Which couples app should you pick?

Flo for Partners, if you already use Flo

Flo's Google Play listing shows over 100 million downloads. Basic partner access doesn't need a subscription. One catch: Flo's help center says in one article that he gets a view-only calendar and in another that he can't see your past or future calendar. Ask him what his screen shows once you're paired.

Clue Connect, if you want him to see phases only

Clue shares the least of the calendar apps. He sees period days, fertile days, ovulation and PMS, and nothing about mood, energy or pain. You need Clue Plus to share, and you can only share with one person at a time.

Natural Cycles, if you use it as birth control

Partner View is built around the fertility status for the day, Red or Green. Of the apps whose pages list what he sees, it shares the most, down to temperatures, and it can warn him when your period or PMS is coming. It's a fertility tool first.

Soleii, if the point is that he helps

Calendars tell him a date. They don't tell him what to do when that date comes. Soleii gives him the phase you're in, a countdown to your period and a short playbook for that phase, like "Keep evenings low key and cozy". When you need something, you tap a Sunflare and his phone gets an alert asking for a hug, a coffee, a call or help.

Is there a free period tracker for couples?

Yes. Flo says basic access to Flo for Partners is available to people who don't pay. Clue lets the partner view for free, though you need Clue Plus to share. Stardust says it has a free version and a Partner Mode, but its FAQ doesn't say whether Partner Mode is in the free tier.

Soleii is free to install with a subscription inside. One plan covers you both, so he never pays on top.

What should a partner never be able to see?

Your own notes, and anything you didn't choose to share. Flo, Clue and Cycles all say notes or symptoms stay private. Soleii goes further. His account has no read access to your logs at all, and that's enforced in the database, not only hidden in the app.

Whatever you pick, look at the sharing settings together once. It takes two minutes and nobody is surprised later.

Questions people ask

What is the best period tracking app for couples?

It depends on what you want him to do with it. For a shared calendar, Flo or Clue. For fertility, Natural Cycles. For him knowing what helps in each phase and getting your asks right away, Soleii, on Android.

Can my boyfriend see my period on Flo?

Through Flo for Partners he gets cycle predictions and tips. Flo says he can't see the symptoms or notes you log, and you can stop sharing at any time.

Does my partner need to pay for Clue Connect?

No. Clue says viewing someone's cycle is part of the free app. The person sharing needs Clue Plus, and both of you need a Clue account.

Is there a period app made for boyfriends?

Some are. DuoSync on iPhone has him track her cycle by hand, so she installs nothing. Soleii has two sides in one app, hers for tracking and his for knowing what helps.

Not on Clue, and not your logged symptoms on Flo. Natural Cycles shares moods and pain only if you switch them on. Soleii never sends your logs across the link. He sees a check-in only if you send one.

Does Soleii work on iPhone?

Not yet. Soleii runs on Android today and an iPhone version is on the way. You can join the list for it on the home page.
